Sources suggest the party may consider a leadership shift post-elections, with Shivakumar's camp advocating for his elevation based on alleged past commitments.

The persistent speculation about a post-election leadership shakeup is rooted in Shivakumar's assertions of a prior agreement during the 2023 elections, coupled with considerations of Siddaramaiah's age.
