Overnight, Ukrainian drones struck a tanker at the Russian port of Taganrog and targeted an oil depot in Armavir, according to regional authorities in Russia's Rostov and Krasnodar. Fires were successfully contained, and no oil spills were reported, though the incident resulted in two injuries.
Rostov's Governor, Yury Slyusar, conveyed on Telegram that the flames in Taganrog, a city with a population of approximately 240,000, had been extinguished. Almost 50 drones were intercepted across the province, with no major damage outside Taganrog, but a local emergency state has been extended.
Meanwhile, Armavir, in the Krasnodar region, with a population of 185,000, reported their oil depot fire under control with no injuries. The incidents have underscored the ongoing conflict focus in Ukraine's neighboring regions, with multiple drone attacks reported.
