Trinamool Congress (TMC) Rajya Sabha MP Sagarika Ghose launched a strong critique against politicians who change allegiances following election outcomes, describing the habit as 'shameful'. Speaking on X, Ghose, a former journalist turned politician, reiterated her allegiance to Mamata Banerjee's leadership, while accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of damaging India's democratic institutions.

In her post, Ghose stated the personal became political for her in 2024, outlining her opposition to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership due to its alleged anti-constitutional stance.
