Devi Prasad Mishra, a prominent leader from the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), has openly criticized the two-year tenure of the Odisha BJP government under Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, suggesting that there is widespread dissatisfaction among citizens regarding its performance. Mishra emphasizes that discontent is palpable across various demographics, stating, "Please do not take our reaction as opposition party. Take the reaction of the people from the ground level, from the city, from the village, from remote areas, from the tribals, from the scheduled castes, from the backward people, from the common citizen, from the middle class, from the women, from the college students, from the youth."

Mishra alleges that the populace harbors anger and disappointment over what they view as government misrule and non-performance, accusing the administration of betraying public trust. Despite these accusations, CM Mohan Charan Majhi posted on platform X, showcasing several cabinet decisions centered on development, infrastructure, and new opportunities for Odisha. Majhi shared details of projects like the NDRF Mundali Infrastructure Project and a 5,500-acre tourism land bank intended to drive investments and job creation.

Additional measures announced include a Rs 194 crore Brutang Spillway for enhanced irrigation and a Rs 440 crore water security project aimed at ensuring a prosperous future for Sambalpur. Moreover, the cabinet has moved to reduce stamp duty and registration fees for the Economically Weaker Section under the PMAY-U 2.0 scheme, demonstrating a commitment to inclusive growth. The Odisha CM professes dedication to building a "Samruddha Odisha" where growth benefits are widespread.
