Thailand wants peace in Myanmar under ASEAN plan, foreign minister says

Thailand wants peace and stability in Myanmar as part of ASEAN's peace plan and is not abandoning regional concerns about the country, Thailand's foreign minister said on Thursday.
Thailand hopes that an ASEAN special envoy can meet detained former leader Aung San Suu Kyi, Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow told reporters, adding that Myanmar has to respond to Bangkok's concerns about the civil war there.
