Thailand and Cambodia will resume the cross-border railway service on April 22 after 45-years. The Prime Ministers of the two countries will co-preside over the opening ceremony for Ban Khlong Luek railway station in Aranyaprathet district in eastern Thailand and the handover ceremony for the diesel locomotive with four carriages.

The State Railway of Thailand had earlier handed over the locomotive with four carriages to the Cambodian side for a 6-kilometer trial run between Ban Khlong Luek railway station of Thailand and Poipet railway station of Cambodia.
