Under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over northern parts of Gangetic West Bengal & neighbourhood, a low pressure area has formed over coastal areas of West Bengal & north Odisha and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal.

Associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 5.8 kms a. s. l. tilting southwards with height. System is likely to become more marked during next 24 hrs.

The axis of monsoon trough at mean sea level now passes through Amritsar, Ambala, Pantnagar, Barabanki, Gorakhpur, Patna, Purulia, centre of the low pressure area over coastal areas of West Bengal & north Odisha and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal and thence southeastwards to north Andaman Sea.

The cyclonic circulation over northeast Uttar Pradesh and neighborhood now lies over northeast Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Bihar and extends up to 1.5 kms a. s. l. A cyclonic circulation between 2.1 & 3.6 kms a. s. l. lies over central parts of Uttar Pradesh.

The cyclonic circulation extending up to 1.5 kms a. s. l. over Assam and neighbourhood persists.

The cyclonic circulation over southwest Rajasthan and neighbourhood now lies over south Rajasthan and adjoining Gujarat and extends between 3.1 & 3.6 kms a. s. l. The cyclonic circulation over southeast Tamil Nadu and neighbourhood now lies over Rayalaseema and adjoining coastal Andhra Pradesh at 7.6 kms a. s. l. A cyclonic circulation at 5.8 kms a. s. l. lies over southeast Arabian Sea and adjoining Lakshadweep area.

The cyclonic circulation over northern parts of Haryana and neighbourhood has become less marked. The Southwest Monsoon has been active over Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. It has been subdued over west Rajasthan, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Rayalaseema, Interior Karnataka and Kerala.
