In a landmark development, housing demand in Tier II cities has soared, with sales jumping by 11% to nearly 2.08 lakh units in the last fiscal year, revealed PropEquity on Friday.
Top Tier II cities such as Ahmedabad, Vadodara, and Surat were at the forefront of this surge, dramatically contributing 80% to the overall sales. The affordability and economic growth in these regions have played a pivotal role in this upswing.
PropEquity's Founder and Managing Director, Samir Jasuja, highlighted that lower property prices and immense growth potential are key drivers. He added that government infrastructure initiatives are further propelling the housing market.
