Mumbai Faces Moderate to Heavy Rain, No Major Waterlogging Reported

After receiving light showers for two days, Mumbai and its suburbs experienced moderate to heavy rainfall on Thursday. Despite the significant rain, there were no reports of major waterlogging. Local train operations experienced slight delays, but road traffic remained normal. The India Meteorological Department predicts more rain with isolated heavy downpours over the next 24 hours.

Mumbai and its suburbs witnessed moderate to heavy rainfall on Thursday after two days of light showers. However, authorities reported no major waterlogging incidents.

Local trains experienced slight delays due to the rain, but road traffic in the city remained largely unaffected. The India Meteorological Department's (IMD) Mumbai center forecasts generally cloudy skies with moderate showers and possible heavy rainfall in isolated areas over the next 24 hours, according to a civic official.

The official also mentioned that a high tide of 4.04 meters is expected in the Arabian Sea at 3.40 pm. Since Thursday morning, the island city received significant rain with 50.16 mm recorded in the last 24 hours. Eastern and western suburbs saw rainfall measures of 27.01 mm and 55.95 mm, respectively. Despite the heavy rain, no major waterlogging incidents have been reported.
