Raigad district has seen significant monsoon activity, with 59% of its average annual rainfall recorded by Saturday, officials report. Heavy rains have affected many parts of the district over the past day.

Pen experienced the heaviest downpour with 210 millimeters, whereas Mahad received the lowest at 65 mm. As of 8:30 AM Saturday, Alibag reported 84.58% of its annual monsoon rainfall, while Mangaon recorded the least at 45.56%.

Several rivers, including Savitri, Aamba, and Ulhas, in the district are flowing above the danger mark. Meanwhile, three gates of the Bhira dam are releasing a total of 62.64 cusecs of water. The Salokh and Avsare dams are at 40% storage capacity, with Ranivali at 33%, officials noted.
