In the wake of relentless rains, Rajasthan witnessed multiple tragedies as three individuals, including a six-year-old girl, drowned in Jaipur's Vishwakarma area on Thursday morning. The rainwater deluge in the basement of their house led to this unfortunate incident, authorities reported.
Simultaneously, in Jhalawar, three motorcycle riders were swept away by the overflowing Kalisindh river. Despite immediate search operations, they remained untraceable till evening, stated Mandawar SHO Mahaveer Prasad.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma chaired an emergency meeting to address the crisis, sanctioning Rs 5 lakh in financial aid per bereaved family. Heavy downpours caused significant waterlogging, disrupting traffic, affecting schools, and necessitating urgent relief efforts.
