Wayanad District Collector Meghashree D R stated the grim numbers as rescue operations, involving 40 teams and various agencies, work tirelessly. The completion of a 190-foot-long Bailey bridge has facilitated the movement of heavy machinery to worst-hit hamlets, enhancing the pace of rescue efforts.
Amid this, Subaida, an elderly tea stall owner from Kollam, has donated her earnings and welfare pension to aid victims, showcasing a heartwarming act of humanity during these challenging times.
