Rescuers operating in the landslide-hit village of Wayanad, using advanced radar technology, have detected a signal indicating possible breathing from an area where a house once stood. The signal was categorized as a 'blue signal' by officials, indicating potential signs of life.

The remains of the house are believed to be buried approximately two to three meters below what remains of the soil. An official stated that it remains uncertain whether the detected breathing signal emanates from a human or an animal.

Residents recall that the signal was picked up in the area historically occupied by the kitchen and store room. Consequently, rescue teams have commenced excavation at the indicated spot in hopes of finding the source of the signal.
