Red Alert Issued in Maharashtra Districts by IMD
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for Maharashtra's Palghar, Pune, and Satara districts on Saturday for August 4. An orange alert was also issued for Thane, Mumbai, Raigad, Sindhudurg, and Nashik, predicting heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in these areas.

On Saturday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for Maharashtra's Palghar, Pune, and Satara districts, effective August 4.
Additionally, an orange alert has been announced for the districts of Thane, Mumbai, Raigad, Sindhudurg, and Nashik.
According to the IMD, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected at several locations, with isolated spots likely experiencing extremely heavy rainfall, especially in Palghar and ghat regions of Pune and Satara.
