The local meteorological office has issued a yellow alert, warning of heavy showers, thunderstorms, and lightning until August 8. The state emergency operation centre reported disruptions, with 30 roads shut in Kullu, 25 in Mandi, 14 in Lahaul and Spiti, nine in Shimla, seven in Kangra, and two in Kinnaur.

Rain-related incidents have claimed 79 lives between June 27 and August 3, incurring losses of Rs 663 crore. Intermittent rains continue to lash parts of the region, with Hamirpur recording the highest rainfall at 54 mm.
