Monsoon to Stay Active in Eastern Rajasthan for Another Week
The meteorological department reported that the monsoon will remain active in eastern Rajasthan for another week. Heavy rains are expected in Bharatpur, Jaipur, Ajmer, Kota, and Udaipur divisions. Max temperatures range from 28 to 37.9 degrees Celsius. In the last 24 hours, Jaipur recorded the highest rainfall at 85 mm.

The meteorological department announced on Wednesday that the monsoon will stay active in the eastern parts of Rajasthan for another week.
Several districts, including Jaipur, experienced heavy rains over the past 24 hours.
Radheshyam Sharma, Jaipur Meteorological Centre's in-charge, cited the formation of a low-pressure area, indicating chances of continued monsoon activity across eastern Rajasthan over the next week.
Moderate to heavy downpours are anticipated in Bharatpur, Jaipur, Ajmer, Kota, and Udaipur divisions, with the potential for heavy rains in certain areas of Kota, Udaipur, and Jaipur divisions for the next 5-6 days.
Western Rajasthan can also expect light to moderate showers in Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions for the next 2-3 days. Weather data revealed that Jaipur tehsil had the highest rainfall in the state over the past 24 hours, recording 85 mm. Other notable rainfalls included 78 mm in Rajakheda, Dholpur, and 65 mm in Gangdhar, Jhalawar.
On Wednesday, until 5:30 pm, Anta in Baran recorded 40 mm of rainfall, followed by 35 mm in Sangaria and Chittorgarh, and 22.4 mm in Jodhpur.
According to the Met office, the maximum temperature across most regions varied between 28 and 37.9 degrees Celsius.
