Nine Killed in Rain-Related Tragedies Across Uttar Pradesh

Nine people lost their lives due to rain-related incidents in various parts of Uttar Pradesh within the last 24 hours, as per state relief department officials. Fatalities were reported in Lalitpur, Pratapgarh, Aligarh, and Siddharth Nagar, with Mathura recording the highest rainfall of 31.8 mm.

Nine individuals succumbed to rain-related incidents across Uttar Pradesh in the past 24 hours, state's relief department officials announced on Sunday.

Tragedy struck Lalitpur where three people drowned, and two lives each were lost in Pratapgarh, Aligarh, and Siddharth Nagar districts due to similar incidents, the relief department confirmed.

The deaths occurred between 6:30 PM on Saturday and 6:30 PM on Sunday, coinciding with an average rainfall of 1.7 mm over the state. Among the 75 districts, Mathura experienced the highest downpour, recording 31.8 mm of rainfall during this period.
