The mishap occurred late Monday night within a tunnel near Patna University, as detailed by Senior Superintendent of Police Rajeev Mishra.
The catastrophe ensued when a pickup van, whose brakes malfunctioned, plowed into construction workers. Two individuals died immediately, while six others sustained injuries requiring hospitalization.
