An alert has been issued for the residents of Khunti and Tulgram villages in Jharkhand's Seraikela-Kharswan district following a suspected tiger attack. Officials advised people to stay indoors after cattle carcass was found, which led to suspicions of a tiger being in the vicinity.
The Forest Department reacted swiftly, with Sub-Divisional Officer Vikash Kumar stating that cameras would be installed in the forest to verify tiger presence. The authorities are taking these steps as a precaution ahead of New Year's festivities.
Armored vehicles have been dispatched with public address systems to communicate the stay-indoors advisory until a conclusive determination is made regarding the presence of a tiger.
