City's Markets to Shine: Night Sweeping Initiative Launched

MCD Mayor Mahesh Kumar Khichi has taken bold steps to enhance the city's cleanliness by launching a night sweeping initiative targeting more than 300 markets. The project aims to enforce better sanitation practices throughout various city zones.
Following a press briefing with PTI, Khichi emphasized the deployment of nodal officers for each market, ensuring thorough oversight. Senior officials are expected to conduct surprise inspections to maintain effective implementation and maintain high cleanliness standards.
The initiative will involve market associations to promote community engagement. Authoritative figures like Executive Engineers and Administrative Officers will supervise the process. Additionally, strict actions, including fines, will be levied against individuals caught littering.
