The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) and Maharashtra's revenue department have commenced a significant drive in the Shil-Phata area to dismantle unauthorized constructions impeding the progress of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project.
Under the leadership of Deputy Municipal Commissioner Manish Joshi and Circle Officer Sapna Chaure, the drive focuses on removing illegal structures obstructing the high-speed rail corridor. Officials stressed the operation strictly adheres to legal protocols.
Equipped with earthmovers, TMC teams and police personnel executed the demolitions, ensuring smooth progress of the bullet train in its critical phase, aiming to enhance connectivity and economic growth. Further phases will systematically target remaining encroachments, cementing the project's path to completion.
