The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet has greenlit the development of a cutting-edge Integrated City Bus Terminal and commercial zone at Vrindavan Yojna in Lucknow. This initiative, targeting the modern residential area in Lucknow's south, aims to provide efficient public transport and boost urban mobility.
With an impressive span of approximately 28,56,728 square meters, the project will alleviate traffic congestion by introducing modern amenities through a public-private partnership model. The bus terminal is poised to significantly enhance urban transport, offering a sustainable revenue model and improving citizen access to public transport infrastructure.
Set on a design, build, finance, operate, and transfer model, the land will be developed by a private entity for a 60-year lease. The facility will serve as a depot for 141 electric and 52 CNG buses, enhancing the eco-efficient transport capacity of Lucknow. The initiative promises to redefine public transport while fostering long-term economic growth.
