A seven-year-old boy who astonishingly survived a fall into an open sewer amid heavy rain in southwest Delhi's Rajokri area was confirmed safe, according to police reports on Friday.
The incident unfolded on Thursday at around 1.15 pm when law enforcement was notified of a child's fall into a nearby sewer. Despite immediate search efforts by police, the child remained untraceable, leading to a broader search initiative.
Upon reviewing CCTV footage from the area, officers noticed two boys running by the sewer with one falling in. Footage later showed both boys running from further down the line, indicating the boy extricated himself. Identification challenges persisted until a teacher recognized the Class 3 student on Friday. The child had fallen due to obscured visibility from heavy rain but emerged unharmed.
