The death toll from rain-related incidents and floods in Pakistan has surged to 706, as rescue operations intensify in the hardest-hit areas, officials confirmed on Tuesday.
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) reported 24 new fatalities in 24 hours. Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa remains the worst affected, accounting for 427 deaths.
The Pakistan Army has ramped up relief efforts, rescuing nearly 7,000 people and providing medical assistance across nine camps in the province.
