A recent survey by Urban Acres, an India-based think tank, reveals that millennials now account for a striking 61% of home registrations in Thane, marking a sharp increase from 48% in 2020. This demographic shift underscores the influential role of younger buyers in shaping the city’s residential market.

Puranik Group emerged as the most preferred developer among millennials, according to the survey conducted with over 1,200 homebuyers in key Thane areas. Their developments like Mirai, Rumah Bali, and Ikigai are noted for embodying affordability, intelligent design, and community-focused amenities.

Data also shows that Thane’s residential prices have surged by 46% over three years, reflecting its resilience within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Analysts note Thane's contribution to be about 10% of MMR's sales. Industry leaders like Shailesh Puranik and CREDAI MCHI emphasize the importance of affordability, wellness, and lifestyle in meeting millennial demands.
