The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has successfully extended piped natural gas (PNG) connections to 252 villages in Delhi as part of the Centre's Dilli Gramoday Abhiyan initiative, officials reported on Tuesday.

This significant step towards providing clean cooking fuel relates to the completion of 73,981 consumer connections within these rural regions, out of 359 villages across the capital.

The Dilli Gramoday Abhiyan, aimed at upgrading infrastructure in Delhi's urban villages, has sanctioned 854 projects valued at Rs 860 crore. Projects focus on essentials like housing, roads, and drainage, with half of them already completed, contributing to bridging Delhi's urban-rural divide.
