Authorities in Thamarassery have booked 321 individuals following a violent protest near a local waste treatment plant, sources revealed on Wednesday.
The confrontation began Tuesday in Ambayathodu village when residents, angered by pollution allegations, set fire to the Freshcut-managed plant and clashed with the police, resulting in several injuries.
Investigations are underway with six cases registered based on separate complaints, including stone-throwing incidents that injured multiple officers, police confirmed.
