Punjab Police Thwart Major Terror Plot, Arrests 24 TTP Affiliates
Law enforcement in Pakistan's Punjab province thwarted a major terror attack, capturing 24 terrorists linked to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. Extensive investigations and intelligence-based operations led to these arrests as police enhanced security across key areas, especially courts, in response to increased terror activities in neighboring regions.

In a significant operation, law enforcement agencies in Punjab, Pakistan, have dismantled a major terror plot, arresting 24 terrorists predominately linked to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), officials reported on Saturday.
The arrests, conducted by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Punjab, were the result of 364 intelligence-driven operations across various districts. They seized weapons, explosives, and 5 kg of explosive substances, including 24 detonators and four bombs.
Heightened security measures have been implemented across the province, particularly around courts and key governmental buildings, in response to rising terror incidents, notably following a deadly suicide attack in Islamabad last month.
