In a heartbreaking incident, a fire engulfed a commercial-cum-residential building in Indore, taking the life of Pravesh Agarwal, the owner of a major automobile showroom. His daughter suffered smoke inhalation, requiring hospital care.
The fire, which erupted around 5 a.m. in the Lasudia area, swept through Agarwal's third-floor residence. Initial investigations suggest the blaze began from an Akhand Jyoti lamp left burning in the home's temple.
As smoke filled the house, family members faced suffocation, resulting in Agarwal's tragic death. His wife and two minor daughters survived, with the elder daughter under medical supervision. Authorities continue to probe the incident's cause, underscoring the necessity of safety measures in mixed-use structures.
