Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin conducted an inspection on Friday at the Adyar Estuary, a critical site being prepared for the inflow of monsoon waters.

The Chembarambakkam reservoir has begun releasing surplus water into the Adyar river, a necessary step to regulate the reservoir's level ahead of the Northeast monsoon.

During his visit, Stalin stressed the prompt completion of dredging work and later inaugurated the newly revamped Adyar Eco Park, a 58-acre green retreat designed for public recreation and ecological restoration.
