Delhi Runs Cloud-Seeding Trials to Combat Pollution
Delhi has initiated cloud-seeding trials in areas like Burari and Karol Bagh to combat air pollution. Despite test flights, low atmospheric moisture levels hindered artificial rainfall. This is part of the Delhi government's strategy to improve air quality during winter.

In an effort to address the critical air quality issues, Delhi has embarked on cloud-seeding trials. The initial attempts were conducted in the Burari and Karol Bagh areas, according to officials.
Using an aircraft from Kanpur, trials sought to induce artificial rain. This initiative is part of a larger strategy by the Delhi government to mitigate worsening air quality during winter months.
Despite a test run last week over Burari with silver iodide and sodium chloride compounds, the effort faced challenges due to low atmospheric moisture, which was below the necessary 50 percent for successful cloud seeding.
