Hyderabad's First Automated Smart Parking Facility Revolutionizes Urban Traffic Management

Hyderabad's new multilevel smart parking facility at KBR Park aims to end parking woes by maximizing space using a vertical rotary system. Inaugurated by GHMC's Mayor, this state-of-the-art facility is expected to enhance traffic flow and pedestrian safety, setting a precedent for future urban infrastructure projects.

In an effort to address parking issues in Hyderabad, the GHMC launched a cutting-edge multilevel smart parking facility at KBR Park on Saturday. This initiative represents the city's inaugural automated smart rotary parking system in a public space.

Developed with the support of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and executed by Nava Nirman Associates via a Public–Private Partnership (PPP) model, the new facility is strategically located in one of Hyderabad's busiest corridors, the KBR National Park in Banjara Hills.

Boasting a space-efficient vertical mechanized rotary structure capable of accommodating 72 cars and designated two-wheeler slots, it features advanced amenities such as RFID-enabled entry and exit, EV charging points, and comprehensive safety mechanisms. GHMC officials anticipate significant improvements in traffic congestion and pedestrian safety, with potential plans to replicate this model across the city.
