The Chhattisgarh government has sanctioned projects worth Rs 429.45 crore to upgrade infrastructure in 13 municipal corporations under the Mukhyamantri Nagarotthan Yojana, as revealed by a state official on Monday.

Launched as part of the 2025-26 budget, this ambitious project will initially benefit all 14 municipal corporations and later extend to smaller urban councils. So far, 26 projects, including marine drive expansions and new bus terminals, have been approved.

A budgetary provision of Rs 500 crore has been allocated for the current fiscal year. The plan, endorsed by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, targets sustainable urban development and aims to modernize Chhattisgarh's cities with new roads, sporting facilities, and public parks.
