Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated a significant infrastructure project on Monday—the newly constructed railway overbridge at Jamunamukh in Hojai district.
This 951-metre-long bridge, featuring a 7.5-metre wide carriageway, is expected to facilitate better connectivity between the railway stations of Dabaka, Kampur, and Jamunamukh, according to Sarma.
Built at a cost of Rs 83 crore, the bridge is part of a broader initiative that includes virtual inaugurations of educational institutions and flood prevention projects worth Rs 80 crore, aiming to alleviate flood conditions and bolster development in the state.
