Punjab CM Courts Korean Ventures for Infrastructure Boom

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann urged top Korean firms to invest in Punjab, focusing on infrastructure projects such as renewable energy and smart cities. Mann highlighted opportunities in industrial townships, green hydrogen initiatives, and tailored food products, during his visit ahead of the Progressive Punjab Investors' Summit.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann extended an invitation to several Korean companies to invest in the state's burgeoning infrastructure sector. Notable firms such as Daewoo, GS Engineering & Construction, and others were courted for collaboration.

During his meeting with Daewoo E&C's Jung Won Joo, Mann emphasized potential partnerships in renewable energy, particularly offshore wind farms and solar power. Mann also highlighted the scope for cooperation in sectors like LNG terminals, petrochemical complexes, and urban development projects.

Mann further advocated for technology transfers in construction, and expanded food product lines in India, as part of his 10-day visit to South Korea and Japan, aligning with the upcoming Progressive Punjab Investors' Summit.
