Varanasi Development Authority is racing against time to complete its ambitious ropeway project, with Vice Chairman Purna Borah confirming that the construction of five stations across a 3.8 km stretch will conclude by December 31.
The ropeway, spanning from Varanasi station to Godaulia with stops at Vidyapeeth and Rath Yatra, boasts a significant technical hub at Godaulia, where construction is progressing well.
Costing Rs 815.58 crore for development and 25 years of upkeep, the project promises to transform urban transport while unlocking vast potential for tourism, economic growth, and commercial activities.
