Unlocking Industrial Wastewater: A Resourceful Approach by KEP Engineering
KEP Engineering Services offers innovative solutions for industrial wastewater recovery, achieving a 90-95% recovery rate. Their systems reduce reliance on fresh water by treating and recycling water for non-potable applications. This approach is crucial as only 28% of sewage in India is treated, highlighting a major potential for circular water economies.

KEP Engineering Services has announced its advanced wastewater solutions, which enable industries to recover 90-95% of wastewater, significantly cutting down reliance on fresh water and boosting operational efficiency. Based in Hyderabad, the company provides integrated systems that include effluent treatment plants, zero liquid discharge systems, and more.
Their solutions allow industrial clusters to treat and recycle nearly all process and utility water, reclaiming treated water for cooling towers, utilities, and non-potable uses. This approach drastically reduces the need for fresh groundwater or surface water, especially for large-scale units operating in sectors like petrochemicals, food, pharmaceuticals, and textiles.
Despite India generating over 72,000 MLD of sewage daily, only 28% is treated. However, KEP's innovation marks a shift toward more sustainable water management. With 80% of wastewater capable of being treated and reused, the potential impact on the economy and environment is substantial, aligning with the company's mission to foster circular water economies.
