Scorching Heat Grips Haryana and Punjab

Haryana and Punjab experienced blistering heat with temperatures soaring to abnormal highs. Rohtak in Haryana and Faridkot in Punjab recorded some of the highest temperatures, reaching above 44 degrees Celsius. The unrelenting heatwave engulfed other notable cities, affecting daily life and prompting health advisories.

In an intense heatwave, Haryana and Punjab sweltered on Saturday as temperatures surged well above normal. Cities like Rohtak and Faridkot led the spike, registering highs of 44.6 and 45.2 degrees Celsius, respectively, according to meteorological reports.

The relentless heat affected major towns across both states. In Haryana, Ambala reached a striking 41.9 degrees, Hisar 43 degrees, and Narnaul 43.5 degrees, among others. In Punjab, Amritsar and Ludhiana weren't spared, recording highs of 40.3 and 42.2 degrees Celsius.

Chandigarh, serving as a joint capital, also felt the severe heat, with temperatures peaking at 41 degrees Celsius. As the region continues to endure the weather extremes, authorities have urged residents to stay hydrated and avoid unnecessary sun exposure.
