Authorities received word of the blaze in the evening, prompting a swift response from police. Upon arriving at the scene near Kardam Dharmshala, officers encountered the devastating aftermath. Family members discovered the wounded children after the children's grandmother noticed smoke and hurried to the room.
Paramedics rushed the injured to Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital, where the younger child was declared deceased. Meanwhile, the surviving child continues to receive treatment. Investigators are drawing on forensic expertise to unravel the fire's cause, as police probe the incident's origins.
