In a significant development for the state of Arunachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Pema Khandu inaugurated the Arunachal Niwas in New Delhi on Sunday. This facility is poised to benefit both patients and students from the state by providing accessible accommodation and support facilities in the nation's capital.
Situated in Dheerpur, the newly constructed Arunachal Niwas stands as a testament to the state government's commitment to supporting its citizens residing or traveling outside the state. Its strategic location near the North Campus makes it an ideal option for students during university admissions, while also catering to patients seeking medical treatment.
Reaffirming the government's dedication to infrastructure development, Khandu highlighted the need for reviews of infrastructure in both new and existing districts to ensure balanced growth. The initiative is supported by approximately Rs 4,900 crore under the 15th Finance Commission, with an emphasis on sustainability and long-term viability. The facility was inaugurated in the presence of Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, Rajya Sabha MP Nabam Rebia, and other dignitaries.
