A probe has been initiated following the discovery of an adult tiger's carcass, missing its nails and teeth, in Goa's Kushwati district. The Forest Minister, Vishwajit Rane, has directed a detailed investigation into the matter.

According to officials, the carcass was located in Sacordem village last Saturday. The forest department has already submitted a preliminary inquiry report, and a more comprehensive report is currently in the works. This development follows the appropriate protocols as instructed by the minister.

The decomposed remains of the tiger were found a short distance from the Bhagwan Mahavir Sanctuary, located near the Goa-Karnataka border, raising significant concern among conservation authorities.
