Media images depicted rooftops reduced to ruins and smoke rising in the Jaguare neighborhood, roughly 16 km from Sao Paulo's city center. The Sao Paulo state fire department indicated in a post that 12 fire engines were dispatched to manage the flame, with an LPG blast suspected as the catalyst.

A fire department spokeswoman reported to local outlets that two men and one woman sustained minor injuries. "Several buildings were impacted, nearly ten are believed to be directly affected," she stated, adding that no fatalities occurred.
