In a significant development, forest officials in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri successfully captured a leopard early Monday morning.
This capture follows an intensive two-week search initiated due to frequent sightings and fatal attacks attributed to the leopard in nearby villages.
The female leopard, between three and four years old, was trapped using a baited cage strategically placed in Singha Khurd village, confirmed by the IFS sub-divisional officer, Manoj Tiwari.
