Rajasthan is poised to endure extreme heatwave conditions throughout the upcoming days. The Meteorological Department indicates that relief in the form of thunderstorms and rain is expected to arrive by May 28, driven by a new western disturbance.
Temperatures are predicted to reach between 44 and 46 degrees Celsius, with some regions, such as Bikaner and Kota divisions, experiencing even higher temperatures up to 48 degrees Celsius by May 27-28. Subsequently, parts of the state, including Jaipur and Bikaner, are forecasted to see strong dust storms and wind speeds up to 70 kmph from May 29 onward.
The weather is expected to shift from May 29, as temperatures gradually decrease by 2-3 degrees Celsius with the onset of rain and storm activities, offering a respite from the ongoing heatwave.
