Botafogo, Cruzeiro share points in 1-1 draw

Right-back Edilson slammed home a free kick from 35 metres out to give Cruzeiro a share meters points in a 1-1 draw with Botafogo in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday.

The point lifts Botafogo into 14th place in the 20-team Serie A, while Cruzeiro sit seven places above them.

Internacional lead the table with 46 points from 22 games, 14 more than Cruzeiro and 20 ahead of Botafogo.
