Bills add DT Thomas, release WR Kerley

The Buffalo Bills added some depth to the defensive line on Saturday, promoting defensive tackle Robert Thomas to the active roster.

To clear the way for Thomas, the Bills released wide receiver Jeremy Kerley.

Thomas, 27, signed with the Bills practice squad on Sept. 3 after spending the last two seasons with the New York Giants.

In 24 career games, he has 22 tackles and one sack.

Kerley was a fifth-round pick by the New York Jets in 2011 and has 270 career catches for 3,116 yards and 13 touchdowns.
