The Miami Dolphins fear that centre Daniel Kilgore suffered a torn triceps muscle in Sunday's loss to the New England Patriots, the Miami Herald reported Monday.

Kilgore, an eight-year veteran, was acquired by Miami in a trade with the San Francisco 49ers in March.

The timetable for Kilgore's return is uncertain. He was replaced in the lineup Sunday by Travis Swanson.

Kilgore, 30, started all 16 games for the 49ers in 2017 and has played in 78 games since he was drafted in the fifth round in 2011 out of Appalachian State.
