Indian Shooters Ramita Jindal and Esha Singh Shine at ISSF World Cup

India's Ramita Jindal finished sixth in the women's 10m air rifle event at the ISSF World Cup, while Esha Singh keeps her hopes alive in the 25m sports pistol category by qualifying in sixth place. Despite two poor shots, Ramita narrowly missed a medal. Esha will compete in the finals on Tuesday.

India's Ramita Jindal put up a commendable performance, finishing sixth in the women's 10m air rifle at the ISSF World Cup. Despite two poor shots leading to a lapse in concentration, she was third to be eliminated in the eight-shooter final.

In a riveting final, 17-year-old World Championship silver medallist Huang Yuting of China won against 16-year-old Korean Ban Hyojin by the narrowest of margins. Ramita, who earlier secured her place in the finals by scoring 633.0 in the qualification round where Yuting set a new World Junior Record.

Meanwhile, Esha Singh also qualified for the finals, finishing in sixth place in the 25m sports pistol category. Aggregating a score of 584 at the end of the rapid round, she keeps her medal hopes alive as she heads into the finals on Tuesday.
