Scott Flemming Returns as Head Coach of Indian Men's Basketball Team

The Basketball Federation of India has reappointed Scott Flemming as the head coach of the men's national team. Flemming, who also enhances the coaching infrastructure, previously coached India's team from 2012-15. Under his leadership, India achieved notable successes in South Asian and Lusofonia games.

The Basketball Federation of India has announced the return of Scott Flemming as the head coach of the Indian men's national basketball team. The decision was made during the federation's Annual General Meeting.

In addition to his coaching duties, Flemming is tasked with enhancing India's coaching infrastructure. Flemming previously led the team to significant victories, including gold medals at the South Asian Championship in 2014 and 2015, and the Lusofonia Games in 2014.

Before his current appointment, Flemming held prestigious roles such as the Senior Director of Basketball Operations for NBA India and top assistant coach for the Texas Legends. Discussions are also underway for appointing a dedicated 3x3 coach as BFI aims for the Indian team to participate in the Asian Games and Olympics in the coming years, as per BFI president Aadhav Arjuna.
