In her professional debut, Vidhatri Urs showcased remarkable talent by shooting 1-under 69, seizing the lead after the opening round of the seventh leg of the Hero Women’s Pro-Golf Tour on Thursday.

Vidhatri, who had a successful amateur career including a win on the Hero WPG Tour, maintained a steady start at the Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Golf Club in her hometown, notching ten pars before making birdies on the Par-4 11th and Par-3 15th, with only a single bogey marring her scorecard.

Trailing by two shots, Jasmine Shekar and Ananya Garg, both hunting for their first Tour win, ended the day tied for second at 1-over 71. While Jasmine posted one birdie and two bogeys, Ananya’s solid start was disrupted by a series of bogeys mid-round.
